Best Moves in Ultimate Question

Which character has the best of each -

-fair
-bair
-f tilt
-dash attack
-down throw

(i.e. lucina has the best fair in the game and pika has the best bair in the game)


My Friends and I were most torn while discussing these specific moves and wanna know some other thoughts

Jab definitely goes to Little Mac. I don’t think anyone’s going to argue this, although Falcon and Bowser Jr. are the other two that come to mind.

Forward tilt I think could go to either Mac, Chrom, or Belmont.

Down tilt could be a lot of characters. Mac, Belmont, Ganondorf, Peach, etc. I have to give it to Peach, though, because she can end an entire stock off of one.

Up tilt is without a doubt Snake, but Falco is a close second.

Best forward smash just has to go to Little Mac. There’s just no comparison. Chrom is second, I think, but it’s not close.

Dash attack also has a lot of contenders: Wolf, Snake, Jigglypuff, Yoshi, Palutena, Fox, Cloud, Joker. I think if I had to pick I’d go with Fox.

I guess Wolf is the obvious answer for down smash, but I could see an argument being made for Zero Suit. Maybe Cloud, if it were as strong as it used to be. If Luma were always with Rosalina, I think they would win.

Fox, Olimar, and Mario/Doc are the shining examples of broken up smashes. I think it has to go to Olimar, because his is safe for whatever ungodly reason.

Neutral air is a difficult one. Chrom, Roy, Lucina, Jigglypuff, Ganondorf, Fox, and Wolf all have outstanding neutral airs, but I don’t think anybody can argue that the best goes to Ike.

I suppose Lucina has the best forward air, but I don’t think Mewtwo and Cloud are too far behind. Yoshi, as well.

I have to give Ivysaur the award for best down air, to nobody’s surprise.

I actually can’t tell you who has the best back air. Lucina, Pichu, Mario, Mega Man, Palutena, Doc, Chrom, Inkling, Peach, Cloud, and DK all come to mind. If (and saying this makes me shudder) Arsene were always with Joker, I suppose the two of them would have the best back air.

I’d say Mario wins the up air contest, but I could see arguments being made for Yoshi or maybe Ness.

To the shock of absolutely no one, DK has the best forward throw.

To the shock of absolutely no one, Ness has the best back throw (but Doc isn’t too far behind).

Luigi, also known as Down Throw: The Character, gets the down throw award.

I believe Charizard’s up throw is the strongest in the game. If that’s true, then my vote goes to the lizard. It’s probably the only reason to ever switch to him.
