any thing with ice blocks or down-b is uber legit, but why de-synce when you can down-smash. Also try to only de-synce vs people you are faster than

I think DD -> blizzard is an excellent desynch and easily one of the strongest ones the ICs have. It's really fast and easy to opt out of, whereas all of the other methods of performing a desynched blizzard I can think of have some sort of irritating drawback, such as requiring doing a passive option first (roll, spot dodge) or having Popo commit to something laggy (solo side-B, solo up-B). I strongly recommend learning it as well as all of the basic ones.

Belay OoS is okay. It is done by having both ICs shield and then quickly inputting up-B. It's pretty situational, but still has some really legitimate applications in shutting down approaches, countering shield pressure, and edeguarding. Most good uses of this desynch involve Nana immediately using blizzard afterwards. The basic reason that is good is that it can be done really quickly OoS and has good range.

The big problem with belay OoS is that Popo usually has to sit through a laggy solo belay animation, although this animation can be canceled in some of the more esoteric applications of this desynch, e.g. doing it such that Popo gets hit by a Falco laser immediately afterwards.

There are a lot of other weird desynchs, but I don't recommend using many of them. I only really use DD -> blizzard, belay OoS, and the roll and spot dodge desynchs.

Desynched ice blocks can be good for edgeguarding. They rarely create good openings, though.

edit: Actually, how good they can be used for approaching varies a lot by match-up and stage.

The way I always do it is dash one way, dash the other way, then dash the initial direction again and then hit down-B.

fly amanita you are so good.

Oh, belay is just up-B. I don't understand exactly what your other concern is. Are you talking about the dthrow CG where you just dthrow with Popo and grab again with Popo, or something else?

once again, thanks fly.
also i think he's talking about dthrow w/ popo and then grab w/ nana in which case you just need to time the re-grab
