Basement Brawlers
Introducing the Basement Brawlers. We are a crew located mainly in Monmouth and Ocean Counties (NJ) but have members who are located all over the state at various times of the week. We also have one member in PA.
About
Most of us are friends who played a lot of Super Smash Bros. Melee since it was released. We've all been waiting for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to be released before going hardcore into the competitive scene.
During our time with Melee many of us have done surprisingly well at all the tournaments we've been to even though we didn't practice as hard as many of the others players. We held back much of the training we wanted to do because we all knew that Brawl was coming. We knew that Brawl would be a different game and thus didn't want our time to go to waste.
The North American Launch of Brawl is upon us and we are preparing. Our mission is to excel at Super Smash Bros. Brawl but to try and not let the competitiveness completely get to us. In the end the game should still be fun. Our crew members have varying skills in Melee but are dedicated to do well in Brawl. We want to have fun and do things to promote personal betterment in and outside of the game.
We may also on occasion play other Nintendo titles. It's about having fun.

Slang
Product- Product is when JusDBerube mounts an incredible comeback or does something so mind boggling in the game that it doesn't make any sense. The only explanation is that since he is such a hardcore Nintendo Fanboy and has over 120 Registered Products on Nintendo.com that it is some act programmed in the game to award his hardcore devotion to Nintendo.
Russ- Mr. Game & Watch's down tilt attack. We call it the Russ because we knew someone named Russ who would often make a similar motion with his hands. Also know as getting Russed.
Salad Tosser- The Salad Tosser is also known as just the Tosser. The act is known as being Tossed. It's Peach's down Smash Attack.
Teeth- When the Ice Climbers Squall Hammer and hit the ledge but don't grab it thus falling to their doom. The act is called Teeth because they should be able to bite the ledge.
Wilson- The Wilson just might be the most powerful technique in all of Smash Bros. that noone talks about. It's the act of hitting/bashing/slamming an opponents controller out of their hands in the middle of a match. This technique is banned from most tournaments and can result in the injury of a player and/or controllers.
Recruitment
We are currently recruiting. If anyone would like to join post in this thread or send me a PM. You are not guaranteed a spot in the crew. We will probably invite you to a practice when we start having them. After that practice we would evaluate you as a person and a player and come to an agreement together. I want everyone in the crew to be happy.
