Why is no one talking about this? G-reg accidentally (as far as I can tell) got himself frozen. Does anyone know how to replicate this? It's the first time I've seen it happen in a real match outside Japan, although this isn't the hard freeze like the one you get from the normal glitch.

Been a while since I did freeze glitch (being a PAL player and all), but from what I recall it is about using sideB during a throw right? I'd try side B'ing with popo with a throw to replicate this. Pretty funny. Good guy nintendude for letting him out of the frozen animation :p

Not much to talk about, I think. It was known to exist a while ago, but this is the first time many are seeing in tournament. There were a few people screaming for either Nintendude or G-reg's forfeit for "cheating", but I think they're nuts. It's clearly an accident, and G-reg himself explained that he was trying to put distance between Nana and Popo, which was the reason for throwing the Ice Climber that way.

Why would get glitch himself into giving Nintendude a free hit? That makes zero sense anyway.

Couldn't agree with you more. Seems to have been just an unfortunate combination of commands from both players. I mean G-reg was desperately trying to grab the A.I. IC before it happened so it is obvious it was not intentional. He even started the throw animation before Nintendude began his recovery. It's just their luck that it all happened to be within the frames of the glitch. Makes for a good memory that's for sure!
