So there's a leak (I call fake) that states Ridley is playable and there's a suprise character. FAKE!!!

Good luck on Bandana Dee everyone! Despite any polling or potential score in a ballot, I would be shocked to see him be a choice for DLC if we don't get a mega update (with a lot of characters, game mode, etc). I certainly would love for him to have been given a spot on the roster, I just think marketing the clarity of the character would be hell and generate poor sales. Not looking to be correct on this one.

I do hope, if he is added, he is given the multiple jumps of Kirby, just like in his home series. Does he ever *actually* use his spear as a helicopter, canonically?

yes because in Kirby's 20 anniesary game for the Wii his he's seen using the waddlecopter
also the marketing is just going to be the same for some character as well not just bandanna Dee but if he's liked he might get good sales and plus maybe the Kirby fans will apreciate him

The Kirby series is very popular, the character is very popular, of course he'd sell well, he's one of the most popular ballot characters, and plus Nintendo has promoted him in almost every Kirby game since RTDL and he'd bring a new gameplay style. There's no doubt about it. (And yes, he does use his spear copter)

Ive been told this before, does someone have a clip?
I cant see BD NOT utilizing multiple jumps like Kirby (in game he always has, or at least the couple of games of his which I have payed). Is there a way to balance that with a helicopter recovery- maybe only three or four multi jumps and a short copter ride?

Again, I want the character, I am aware of his history, and why he is unique.
That said, he still does not even have a true name. I speak specifically from marketing, where fighting the perception that he is a generic Waddle Dee (to those who do not know him already) will be a difficult task. It can be done, but Smash has never really gotten a detailed PR representative, and that makes me doubt BD. It is my *opinion* that the perception of the reception of a character is also highly taken into consideration, and I think this is where comes his big dilemma.

I don't understand, Kirby's series uses this and it's balanced.

That's not true at all, everything you've said about this is 99% opinionated. In fact, him being unknown to the common person is actually HELPFUL, as they wouldn't know what a Waddle Dee is and therefore be introduced to him via Smash.

Yeah, he does use a spearcopter as a chargeable move in Kirby's return to Dreamland,
it's around 2:15, it's rarely used so I could understand why you'd have trouble finding it :p.

It makes absolutely no sense for BD to get as many jumps as Kirby, and then have a better up recovery move on top of that; if you disagree, please elaborate with WHY you disagree, not simply stating that you disagree and that my *opinion* is wrong.

Yeah, I was pretty clear in telling you it is my opinion- an opinion based the real life ramifications of how the character would be delivered. If you are unwilling to address the points I brought up, then don't bother responding.

Plus, it's a new, non-third party character, so people may want to check him out. Trust me, I think he'll do well. I believe this because I'm very aware of stocks, investment, and etc.

Your opinion isn't wrong, it's just I feel you're stating it as if it were fact, he wouldn't have as many jumps as Kirby, however he could have three jumps, that while albeit weak, can still help him.
