Ness in Brawl was decent aside from him having 10 extra frames of grab release that allowed certain characters to 0-to-death him. I'd play him over Melee Ness anyday.

I was joking around in that. I don't mind Mario, Falcon, or most of the characters on there.

I absolutely despise 4 Ness though. The amount of damage and below 100% kills he can get off 1 grab is more ridiculous than Luigi's down throw -> anything (notably cyclone). PK Fire is far more annoying too due to the reduction of DI.

I don't see why nerfing these characters would achieve any balance as they all have clear weaknesses that players could exploit ( though maybe Sheik needs a little nerf). And you nerf those characters, you might as well as nerf all the other top tiers to their Brawl state and what you get is horrible balance and a boring game.

What we really need is to buff some of the low tiers so they can shine *cough* *cough*

I don't see how Falco is low tier now after the buffs but maybe he needs a a little more.
As for Rosa, she is good from design alone (I knew she was going good the minute she was revealed) but again she has clear weaknesses and players are already starting to take advantage of it though she does need a little nerf as her strong points are a little too....strong (Especially that up air).

Don't get me wrong, I do agree that some characters should be nerfed but nerfing them to the point of being non-viable is not good balance.

Brawl Luigi was just bad and reverting him back to that state, along with considering his down throw nerf, Luigi would be one of the worst characters in the game.
Luigi is balanced as is and his down throw nerf doesn't make him overwhelming like before.
And Brawl Captain Falcon was garbage.
I agree with the others when they say to nerf Ness. Nerf his down throw if we are going to nerf Luigi's.

I was jesting about nerfing everybody but Luigi doesn't really need any more nerfs, his mains felt enough pain after losing his primary kill combo as is.

Like I said before though, Sakurai doesn't care about character balance. All the balance patches are "constantly nerf the characters who already got nerfs to one of their obnoxious attributes in the past and give Sheik and Rosalina a small slap on the wrist. Ignore all the low-tier characters (except ... Sakurai has a thing for dragons) who desperately need buffs or just give them crappy ones."

What annoys me about buffs and nerfs is that Kirby was just starting to get better and then WHAM!! Shieldstun changes out of nowhere that nerfs him back to the start of Smash 4, maybe even further back. If Smash 4 Kirby turns into Melee Kirby, I am probably gonna hurt something*.
