So when is this turning to just L cancel? ruins Brawl+ completely. People claim it takes skill, but it's brawl just faster..Melee was fun due to the tech skill it took and the hitstun. your missing about Half of the fun.

If B+ was never intended to be Melee than why build it like melee? Auto L-cancel and Increased Hitstun are fine the way they are, and B+ isn't done yet s who knows L-canceling may eventually be done manually
EDIT: wait I'm looking at this in the wrong direction you're saying how it takes skill to play B+?
it takes skill because it's become more complicated in some areas, relying more on DI and so on

There's been countless arguments about this. It basically comes down to the following:

1) Brawl triggers work differently than they did in Melee, in Brawl, you have to press the button down all the way before anything happens, and this ruins the timing for L Canceling.

2) L-Canceling was terrible, as far as a technical skill. There was no disadvantage for trying and failing, as compared to not trying at all. It's a shallow abilitiy.

3) It becomes muscle memory in the end. It's not fun, it doesn't make the game any deeper, you're just slamming down a trigger right before you hit the ground. It's an arbitrary limitation, and the game can be deepened in other areas.

Hello, and welcome to last year! We decided long ago that it should be ALC (auto l-cancel) instead of MLC (manual l-cancel) because MLC adds no additional depth to the game. You do not gain anything by not l-canceling. It's just a reflex that you perform every time you hit the ground from an aerial. I still press the button to L-cancel all my aerial in brawl+, even though I know it doesn't do anything because it's a habit ingrained into muscle memory from melee. If you so desperately need to be pressing buttons every time you land from an aerial, by my guest. You most certainly wouldn't be the first. But we're not going to be incorporating MLC into brawl+, and that was finalized long ago.
