I gave a good look around but couldn't find any mention of this. If it's known then feel free to ignore this thread.

A number of characters can cancel part of their jab animation by crouching. While it does not seem as useful in Brawl as it did in Melee (due in large part to the buffed shields), it does let Samus (and an number of other characters) move a tad bit faster. A common tactic with Samus is to cancel a successful jab and follow it up with a dtilt.

I found that there is an angle on the control stick which will have Samus crouch but, when combine with A, jabs rather than dtilts. Get it as horizontal as you can go behind you and still crouch. Similar angle to trying to get the maximum distance wavedashing backwards in Melee. This means, should you wish to jab as fast as possible, you don't have to hit A, down, A, down, A, down, etc but rather can simply hold the control stick in one place and just hit A. This does not necessarily allow Samus to jab faster than the "manual" method but decreases the chance of messing something up (dtilting shields makes me sad). There is a limit to how much of the jab can be canceled, and if you try to do this too quickly you'll buffer the laggy second jab.

I figured I'd share in case anyone finds use for rapid jabs. I haven't found much.

Err, right, the angle. That's kinda important.

Get it as horizontal as you can go and still crouch. Similar angle to trying to get the maximum distance on a wavedash in Melee.

Added it to the OP.

lol Darkhart I'm glad people find this helpful.
Does OP mean opposite...because if it is you are the winner.
If you decided to chose to do it in the direction you are facing, you will perform an advancing dtilt.

This tech works, easily performed.

The jab cancel is common knowledge. About the "angle," I'm trying to find this angle in which you can jab instead of d-tilt. The slightest movement downward with the analog stick causes me to d-tilt.

Edit: I slightly made the analog stick angle to where I was crouching, but I held back. I'd rather just A, crouch, A, &c.

Yeah, I know the jab cancel is known - I pointed out it was known back in Melee. I used it a lot.

After years of wavedashing back in Melee I have the angle down in muscle memory. The window isn't very large so I could understand why someone would have trouble with it, but personally I found this way easier.

After 7 years of practice with melee, I can already jab, duck, jab, duck extremely consistently, so it doesn't matter. In any case, the first jab usually sends them flying too far away for another jab to hit. It's much better to jab>ftilt or jab>dtilt or jab>jab2 or jab>tackle or jab>screw attack, etc etc.
