Hey All,
In an effort to help those that can't make it to in person tournaments, 2GG will be hosting monthly tournaments. This should provide a consistent way for those who can't or dont want to make it to in person tournaments to still be able to compete and have fun with the Smash Bros. Community!
The tournament will be this Sunday, August 23rd at 5pm PST. All communication for this tournament will be via our twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/2ggaming so please make sure to check in and hang out when the tournament starts.
General Rules:
- All participants are required to check in on the challonge bracket one hour before to tournament begins.
- If for some reason you do not check in, you risk the chance of being dropped from the tournament!
- It is mandatory that are on 2GG's twitch channel for all forms of communication related to the tournament.
- Since this will be our first online event, we will be doing single elimination as a test run. We plan on having tournament with a double elimination format to closer match offline tournaments in the future.
- The winner of the tournament will be awarded with a $20 prize!
Game Rules/Details
- Single Elimination bracket: normal matches best 2/3, finals will be BO5 (best of 5).
- 2 stock, 6 minutes, customs OFF.
- Mii fighters are NOT allowed.
- All items set to off.
- Gentleman’s Clause: Any stage can be chosen for a game if both players agree
- Sudden Death: If a match reaches time out, the winner is decided by highest stock then lowest %. If the % is the same for both players, the players will fight a 1-stock, 3 minute match
Starter Stages: Final Destination (or Omega if agreed upon), Battlefield, Smashville, Town & City, Lylat
