I realize this is super short notice, but I am moving to Houston on Monday (August 10th) so I put this together as almost a farewell to my Smash Bros and Play N Trade family.

$5 Venue Fee
$5 Entry per tournament.
Double Elimination Brackets (if you lose your first match, you still have a chance to win!)

Prize money will be determined by the amount of entrants per even and paid out in Store Credit for 1st thru 3rd place.

1st Place: 60% of total entry pot.
2nd Place: 30%
3rd Place: 10%

Events:
Super Smash Bros Melee @ 3pm
Super Smash Bros Brawl @ 5pm
Super Smash Bros For Wii U@ 7pm

Rules:
Smash 4 Wii U:
Game Settings: Singles: 2 Stock, 6 Minute Time Limit, Items Off, Equipment Off, 2/3 Games (3/5 in Winner's, Loser's & Grand finals matches)
Starting Stages: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville, Town & City, Dream Land
Counterpick Stages: Castle Siege, Delfino Plaza, Duck Hunt, Lylat Cruise
Note: All Omega stages are banned.
Additional Rules:
Custom moves are DISABLED*
Amiibo’s are banned.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to by both players.
Order of events:
Pick characters, then stage striking.
First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1(1)-P2(2)-P1(2)-P2(2)-P1(1) order.
Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
Maximum allowed time between games is 60 seconds. Any player violating this rule will be issued a loss.
* - Mii Fighters and Palutena are allowed to change their custom specials.

Brawl:
8 minutes.
Items are turned to off and none.
Pause is disabled.
A ledge grab limit of 50 will be enforced only if game goes to Timer.
If a match goes to time, the end of match statistics are used to see how many times each player grabbed the ledge, and if a player exceeded the ledge grab limit, they lose the match regardless of stock or percent lead (if both players exceed the limit however, normal time out rules apply). This rule is implemented to limit planking.
Stalling is banned. Stalling is intentionally making the game unplayable; examples include becoming invisible, continuing infinites, chain grabs, or uninterruptible moves past 300%, and reaching a position that cannot be reached by the opponent.
Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. Players are responsible for being aware of these possibilities.
If time runs out, and neither player exceeds the ledge grab limit or both exceed the limit, the winner is determined by remaining stock, and then by ending damage percentage.
If both stock and percentage are identical, or a game ends with both players being KO'd simultaneously, then a tiebreaker is played. A tiebreaker is a 1 stock, 3 minute match with the same characters and the same stage.

Melee:
Sets between players are played best 2 out of 3 matches (using 3 out 5 for Loser's, Winners, and Grand)
Double Elimination.
Each match is played with timed stock, with 4 lives and 8 minutes.
In the case that time runs out and both characters have an equal amount of lives, the character with less damage wins the match. If both characters have equal lives and damage, the match must be replayed; Sudden Death is strictly not to be played.
Items are turned off.
Stage Striking.
The random select is comprised of neutral stages:
Yoshi's Story
Fountain of Dreams
Battlefield
Final Destination
Dream Land (N64)
Players are given the option to "strike" stages from the random select.
For the first match, characters are chosen double-blind - at the same time, so that neither player knows his opponent's character beforehand. In practice, this rule is often ignored, but players always reserve the option to force a double-blind pick.
The loser of the first match (and of successive matches) chooses the next stage, and then the winner chooses his character, and then the loser chooses his character. This series of choices is called slob picks.
The loser can pick either a neutral stage or a counterpick stage, this list is based on MBR recommended ruleset:
Pokémon Stadium
The loser cannot pick any banned stages
The loser can also not choose any stage that has already been played earlier that round. This rule is known as "Dave's Stupid Rule", named after Scamp.
The winner can ban stages from the opponent's selection, except in best-of-5 sets

Edit to OP on 8/8/15 @ 2:39pm CST
Times for Melee and Smash for Wii U have been changed. Melee is now at 3pm and Smash for Wii U is at 7pm to reflect the accurate times of the brackets as I typed them out at the wrong times originally.
