Myself and Red X are back with the third installment of our Oakville series of smash tournaments! This time, we're happy to announce a partnership with Even Matchup Gaming (EMG), who have generously agreed to provide much needed equipment as well as TOing assistance if need be during the event. Check out their page to see what other tournaments/events they're working on.

Stream: (Likely to be EMG, will confirm soon)

Prices------------------------------------------------------

Venue fee: $13
The extra $3 will go towards a large screen and projector for hype matches and better viewing experience*

**The remaining $10 of your hard-earned money will be donated to MSF (Doctor's Without Borders Canada). These people do truly great work bringing medical aid to those who have no access locally, through delivery of both personnel and supplies to those in need. If you're interested in more detailed info on the kinds of projects they do, check out their site at http://www.msf.ca/ It's really great work. Importantly, nothing else about the event will change except that you'll now also be helping those in need by playing a video game... but only if you show up!**

Food------------------------------------------------------

THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT POINT, PLEASE READ. The Holiday Inn does not allow OUTSIDE food into the venue, and carries an exceptionally hefty charge to those that choose to violate this rule. Food may either be purchased from the in-hotel restaurant and be freely brought into the venue, or purchased outside the venue, and COMPLETELY consumed there. It's really very important that everyone follows this rule or it could cause big problems for the event.
Nearby the venue there are a number of food options within walking distance, and we will be incorporating a lunch break into our schedule for those who would prefer to eat out-of-venue food. Nearby food options include: McDonalds, Highway 55, Taco Bell, Swiss Chalet and probably others. Lastly, if you do choose to purchase in-venue food, please clean up after yourselves! This has been an issue at past events and if everyone disposes of their own one or two items, this won't be an issue for anyone!

Directions------------------------------------------------------
The Holiday Inn Oakville is extremely accessible for both those looking to drive, and those taking transit. The address of the venue is 590 Argus Road, in Oakville. Fortunately, Oakville is situated between Hamilton and Toronto, and is right beside Mississauga, so there's no excuse for anyone in the GTA not to attend!

For those driving, the Holiday Inn is very accessible by most main driving routes through Oakville. The QEW, 403 and (to a lesser extent) 407 are all viable driving options. The venue itself is just south of the QEW and is literally withing eyesight of the highway! Parking for those driving to the event is free of charge (See the map at the top of the page ).

For those taking transit, the easiest route will be via GO Train. From Union (or any other GO station really), head to Oakville station. The venue can literally be seen from the doors of the train station up Argus Road! The walk is about 2 minutes door to door once you're off the train. These trains run until a little after midnight East towards Toronto and a little after 1am west towards Hamilton, so you also won't be stranded.

Smash 4 Wii U Rules (WHEEL OF SALT)

No written explanation can do this event justice. It has, without fail, been the most hype event of any of the tournaments it has been featured at, and is a truly unique event to smash tournaments.

For this event, a large, promotional wheel will be filled with 32 unique wedges, each with their own unique rules and conditions. Players must spin this wheel for each game of their set to determine the rules for that game. The wedges range from minimally invasive changes, to those that are very unique and often out there... but always fun, or at least guaranteed to cause some salt among the losing party! We really, really recommend that people join this event if it's possible for them to do so, we like to think that the experience you'll have in this event shows players why we're a real community... above an beyond just a bunch of people that play a video game together... corny as it sounds.

General Rules-----------------------------------------------------------

-No illegal substances, no alcohol, no green. (Take it outside pls)
-Don't smell, please shower (Deodorant is also appreciated, but pls no spraying entire cans of Axe in the venue)
-Tourney matches have priority over friendlies/MMs
-Keep trash talking casual, no need for us to witness someone getting a punch in the face (or a blown eardrum; hype is fine, but please no senseless yelling and/or complaining at unreasonable volumes)

Finally, we're very committed to running a well-structured and ON TIME event. Not only does this require an adequate number of setups (particularly consoles!), but it also means lots of work for us (which we don't mind) and a certain degree of responsibility from participants to be where they should be, WHEN they should be. We won't be holding everything up for the sake of one or a few late individuals. Unless you were told you're ok to leave by Steven or myself, 5 minutes after you are called, you/your team will lose a game. An additional 5 minutes will cost you/your team the set. No exceptions, no refunds, no questions asked (extenuating circumstances, of course, may change this. We're not tyrants, we'd just like to get out of here before midnight or 1am, the same as all of you).

We look forward to seeing you all there!
