rofl, dude it just takes practice. I just kinda do it, I dont need to think about it to short hop. Practice in training mode tapping the key lightly and then move on to practice moving with the short hop. btw theres no "tool" or "cheat" or "hax!"...its all skill my son.

Your eyes happened to drift to my location, I see.
I am exceedingly bad at this game. Even though I win most of my matches, I use macros that you can set up with N-Rage's plugin. I can't even shorthop and Z cancel with those! This is ridiculous because I can only Z cancel if I am higher in the air and have some time to press the Z button. Thanks anyway~I've noticed that N-Rage's plugin has a lower key sensitivity than Jabo's. That, combined with the macro function, is why I use it. For example, I can have the R button do the left+a button at the same time when I hit it for an effective Kirby smash.

I don't tweak anything....I just play the game as if I was using a controller. I mapped out the buttons to replicate the controller as accurately as possible. These days I don't ever need to think about short-hopping....it just happens.

Short hopping with the c buttons isn't based on sensitivity--it's based on duration. All you have to do to short hop is let go of the c button before your character leaves the ground.
