ATTN AUSSlE SMASHERS: Room changes!

One of the things that's being looked at implemented is having subforums in each regional room for more social talk (Think of a mini-Pool Room for each region) This was mainly brought up due to the US regional rooms generally being....uh....well I can't think of a nice way to put it, but long story short, the Australian room is a regional room and while I don't know if we really need it or not, I figured everyone here should get a vote on whether you think you want one or not. It will still be moderated in terms of flaming, censor dodging, porn, ect, but is designed for non-smash talk, like 'where did you get your username' type threads. Postcounts will be disabled from the room.

So, post away and vote!

Maybe if you left out the last two words...as I said things designed to flame others would be moderated there like anywhere else on the boards.

I put myself down as hungry, though, because a lot of the random talk goes on either way.
Though, I guess this way random, off-topic discussion can be separated from threads that are in the business of smash discussion in each region. I know it can get annoying sometimes trying to discuss the next big tourney, then seeing the thread derail into something else.

I say give it a go if enough people want it. It'll create a more open forum for Australia's members.

I can see good and bad points. A cut down on spam would be nice, but it probably wouldn't happen. The posts that derail topics probably wouldn't be posted in this new forum anyway.

Could be interesting though.

the general idea is not necessarily to cut down spam, but just to help split more casual discussion and topics from the more smash related subjects. It's not too big of an issue in here, but it has been a bit of an issue in some of the US rooms.
