Yo what up ya'll!!!! DDUO here tellin every Ic player something newly discovered with IC!!!!
OK it might not be new but let me say it anyway, LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY!!

I call it Bubblegum Ice!!

STEPS:

1. First Light shield with the Z-Button.

2. Next up, While Popo is Shielding with Z Nana will be grabbing.

3. Finally Hold the B Button to make Nana Attack with the Ice Block.

From what i've seen, Popo should be blocking with a HUGE shield big enough to protect u and nana. From there on Nana will be grabbing constantly until u press and hold b. I'm sure most of u r already thinking to run with the ice shot or wavedash with it, which is possible. It is also desynchable.
Let me know what u think of it or if its been done bfore.
As for the name BUBBLEGUM ICE is pretty simple since i play alot on player 1 and he blocks with pink shield and it looks like gum and nana shoots an ice block after it, so there u go.

Isn't it faster to just grab desynch Nana ice block and then normal lightshield with Popo?

Unfortunately the shield doesn't really work like that, with the exception of some projectiles, Popo's shield blocks Popo and Nana's shield blocks Nana. For example you probably have had this happen, you're trying to light shield Marth's f-smash real quick, but Nana still gets hit. This is because her shield hasn't come up yet, and although she's behind Popo's shield, the sword still hits her.

The advantage to this would be against any projectiles that become nullified after hitting a shield. I've actually used this before against Falco's SHL. Popo puts up the light shield and Nana fires an iceblock to interrupt the Falco. In this case, Popo's shield would absorb the laser and Nana can do as she pleases, sort of. But like I said, Nana is still vulnerable for the most part. Unfortunately as neat as this sounds, it's really more effective and practical to just jump and fire an ice block. Not to say you shouldn't tinker with it though, if you can find an effective use let us know.

wooow thanks for letting me know some things which r true. yeah it is much faster negativezero, also aznlep ur right sometimes i find my sissy getting hit but im still gonna try to work with it and also i've found out that u can also do the down+B with it. I'm still gonna tinker with it to see if i find anything else useful until then see ya. DDUO OUT.

P.S. If anybody has a better name for this technique post it up cuz BI is kinda lame.

Hmm, seems like it could be useful once in a blue moon. Can you have Nana blizzard also w/o making Popo dodge? And I'm talking about after he's already light shielding, not putting it up right after. That seems like it could have potential...

if you can make her do an iceblock after putting up the lightshield i would assume that you can make her do a blizzard as well. but i never tested it so i could be wrong.

why does everyone insist on trying to name every little thing, the only names that ever stick are ones that others give to a technique usually, look at wobbles for example, and it was something that changed alot of ICs

i'd say if it's unique enough, it deserves a name. this is pretty unique =O also having a name helps us know what we're talking about when discussing, etc. plus it gives more motivation to discover new things =D

heads up my peeps i found something interesting!! I'm pretty sure one of u guys already know this but ur too late hahaha. Anyway its not much but atleast im improving, here it is while z blocking u can't grab the opponent so try switching the z block to regular blocking with L. not only can u now start sheild wavedashing but u r free to grab now which was very different at first but now i found a loop hole, only problem is u have to have chu's fast hands to pull this off. i think an easy way to do this "ice blocking" thing is to do a basic desynch like spotdodge --> hold B or down+B and hold shield while youre at it. You can hold R or L ligthly to put up a light shield or hold Z but you wont be able to grab like dynamicduo said. you can also do this out of rolls. just hold teh shield button as well as the move you want nana to do and there you go.
