Assistance requested!

Okay. I am trying to get enough identity points so I can take the driver's test and get a NY learner's permit to get a valid form of ID to get a job. However, I do not have enough points alone. I tried to get my parents' help but they are unresponsive and can't do anyting to help me.
Rigt now. I have my Birth Certificate, my Social Security card, My High School ID(I lost my final report card, so it's useless), My High school and Regents Diploma, and my health subscription card. This stuff gives me 4 points. I need 2 more points to qualify to apply.

Where else can I get the other 2 points on my own? Remember that I live in NY and can't wait on my parent's anymore. I waited for 5 months and this is where it got me. I read the driver's manual and it seems the only way to get enough is to join the Military, get Married, get a credit card, or get a passport, which is ironic since I DO need a valid form of ID to get one. I don't plan on doing any of these now.

You don't need a drivers permit, driving cars without one is completely legal......



......untill you get caught.

And why in the world do you guys need so much things to identify yourself? All I needed to get my scooter certificate(you can't drive a car over here until you're 18) was my passport 0.o

I switched from my Oregon, to my Utah driver's license pretty recently. I used my old license, birth certificate, social security card, and an unopened, recent bank statement with my current address to declare residency.
