Who is Gerald?

Gerald is a main character in the popular Nickelodeon series Hey Arnold, which ran on TV for five seasons from 1996 to 2004. He is Arnold's best friend and loyal companion. Although, the two frequently butt heads from time to time due to Gerald lacking Arnold's drive to help others, and he also serves as a more realistic counterbalance to Arnold's sheer optimism.

How would Gerald fight?

Being a normal nine year old boy, Gerald would use various toys and sports equipment to fight. Gerald and Arnold get into a lot of hijinks over the series' five seasons and two movies so there's plenty to work with.

How good are Gerald's chances?

Pretty good, actually. Hey Arnold is one of Nickelodeon's most prominent shows. It got two movies, got to be one of the four shows represented in Nickelodeon Kart Racers, over more expected choices like Avatar and The Loud House, and is frequently featured on merchandise focusing on 90s Nicktoons. While Arnold himself is the frontrunner, some people don't think that Arnold is a good fit for the game due to his heavy pacifism and his desire to help people rather than fight them. Gerald would be a good alternative for those who want Hey Arnold to get a second rep but at the same time don't want Arnold himself in the game, especially considering that Gerald lacks Arnold's optimism, pacifism, and desire to help others.
