Are there tournaments in the RGV?

I started getting into Melee about a year ago and only played a little tourney once. Are tournaments thrown regularly here, or do smashers from the Rio Grande Valley drive to other places in Texas to compete?

Hah! On a whim I decided to check in here to see what's gping on and lo and behold there's actually still Melee interest! Where do you live? If Brownsville I'll play a few games. You're a few...years too late unfortunatley. Broly was the heart and soul of RGV Smash, but he moved out of the RGV and nothing's been the same since. I was never great or anything, but I'm always down for a challenge. By the way, look up the gaming group"resurrection" on facebook. Anyone that plays smash competitively in RGV posts there.

There will be a tournament for melee and PM this weekend https://www.facebook.com/events/637983939605976/ a pot bonus for melee and a no entry fee for PM but there will be a cash prize for that. There will also be food
