based on what i've seen with fights on pokemon stadium and battlefield, the characters are much larger in comparison to the stage than in melee. not sure what the purpose of this is, but i like it. provides a more concentrated feel on the characters0.

The idea was probably so you can see all the details in the characters. You could never even see the detailed stitchwork that was in mario's overalls for pete's sake!

The stages are probably smaller so your Final Smashes has a better chance of hitting. It would be nearly impossible to use the Mario Finale on a character in a big stage like Hyrule Temple.

Except that stages are bigger now. Compare a picture of Yoshi's story in Brawl with one of Yoshi's story in melee. Characters are either smaller, or stages are bigger.

um there's no difference between "stage smaller" and "character bigger" since those are the only thing you can compare.

Lylat cruise seems to be a small stage while bridge of eldin is huge. it's all good.

Well, that's what I thought too, at first. But then you could also make an arguement in the case of items. If returning items are smaller compared to characters, the characters are bigger. If returning items are the same size, the stages got bigger. Not like it matters...at all. :psycho:

Can it be both?

EDIT: Wow, that was ********.
What I meant to say is that it is likely that some stages are indeed smaller so therefore the people appear bigger whereas other stages are absolutely huge so the characters appear smaller.

Most of the stages are small, but every stage has a different size to it though. I also noticed the characters are more proportional to eachother, so that might be what you're seeing too.

The stages do seem a little smaller in my opinion i\'ve been pretty dissapointed with the stages thus far new pork city and the castle seige and Shadow moses are the only one\'s i like so far but i sopose i\'ll have a different opinion after play the game i might like the stages but i am hopping that some of the old stages to make a return.
