Something it's not right here, Ness's D-Air is garbage tier.

Disagreed. Characters like DK andDuck Hunt and Olimar are more prone to spikes because their recovery cannot make it past an aggressive spiker - and DK is screwed because he can barely rise vertically with his Up B. There are other characters with this weakness as well.FYI this video isn't working. It might be on your or a group's wall the rest of us don't have access to. But a character with a very vertical recovery is more prone to spikes, yes, because you don't really have any direction to go but up. This gives your opponent plenty of time to predict where you're going especially if you don't sweetspot, and can lead to spikes. It's good to mix up your recovery if you're spike prone. Sometimes it might be good to recover low or actually onto the stage to avoid a spike.
Good point - Bowser Jr has horizontal recovery too.Just learned today that even after double jumping you can still side B, jump out of THAT and then up B. Metors/spikes should not be much of a problem. At the very least I cannot imagine in the slightest that Bowser Jr. is extremely susceptible to them.
