With a solid month between now and April 1st, what do you think Sakurai might do?

Will he fake a character reveal for a stage hazard?
Ridley? More like Rude-ly.

Will he jokingly reveal a character like Sandbag, then confirm him as an item?
Dunno if there are any Sandbag supporters anyway.

Will he actually reveal more of the game's content?
Maybe we'll see the inside of Luigi's nose...

...Or will he ignore it completely?
I mean, he remembered Valentines Day...

Thoughts?

I wonder if Sakurai will announce some sort of terrible joke that will hurt many fanboys.

"Pic of the day. The Melee fallen, Mewtwo, strikes back!"

The next day: "Pic of the day. He's actually an [Assist Trophy/Pokeball]."

Haha, that would hit a lot of people hard. I'm not expecting anything and if there is I expect it to be based on what the Japanese Smash audience asks for more than anything. Metroid isn't as popular in Japan so Ridley wouldn't be part of that. Mewtwo I can really see happening if we do get pranked.

I'm predicting a two-part fake-out shot.

In the first picture, we see a dim, dank cavern of sorts, alluding to a new stage.

In the second picture, however, we zoom out to see that it's just Sakurai giving us the good ol' goatse.

April 1st is the start of the fiscal year in Japan, so there's a slight chance we might actually get something really good. I remember this because Shadow the Hedgehog was announced on April 1st and everyone thought it was a joke

And you are doing the inverse. You can't label yourself as a "real fan", as that's only making you look as if you are a fanboy. If we aren't real fans then what are we? Lol

Swift is right though, only Nintendo die-hards really want the characters suggested on the forum. I'm happy with whoever I get, and I suggest others do the same since they often divulge the fantasy that their adamant fandom will grant them control over the characters to be playable in smash bros, which is very very far from the truth.

Why people even want/get upset over the inclusion/exclusion of characters like Toads, Waddle Dee, Bowser jr, X generic Mario spin off character, K Rool, Ridley is beyond me. People have been enjoying smash without them, what's stoping them now?

In the first image we see silhouettes of what appear to be Mewtwo, Ridley, K. Rool, and Black Shadow in a very dim area. In the second image, the lights turn on and it IS Mewtwo, Ridley, K. Rool, and Black Shadow!!!!

If you're going to be like that...he's a squashed 3D model actually. His data isn't compressed which is usually what that word means in that context.
