Approach with USmash?

I know that Snake uses a variation of this with Mortar sliding, but I was wondering if it would at all useful for MK to use the momentum from a dash to perform Usmashes with the C-stick as a way to approach.

I usually stick with spaced Fairs/Dairs, but I was wondering how to improve MK's ground approach game.

You can always approach with a dtilt, It's not punishable if spaced properly.

His Hyphen Smash and DAC Usmash, while not bad, are not long enough to be used as an effective approach. Approaching with an Usmash won't produce much better (if even better) results than other approaches. If you don't hit with your Usmash, you'll be punished pretty easily.
