it does sound like "Nana, popo, nana, popo, nana, popo", and the thing is, its female voices for nana and male for popo, making it more clear that its for them.

Probably just a glitch/oversight on the developers' part. There's no way of telling how far the Ice Climbers were in development, before they were cut, so there may be some remnants of them left in the game.

In all seriousness though, that is pretty interesting.... But it's probably just a glitch the developers didn't get to notice and remove as they didn't manage to fully implement them and all....

Though it may be useful to know what Villager's Japanese cheer sounds like. Just for reference and all.

That exact cheer appears in the demo when Villager playing in the English version, too. The cheers in general are kinda hard to understand now. Could be "Villa-ger go!" or something.

Could always be a bug, of course. Interesting observation either way. Of note, the "Captain! Falcon!" chant used the same relative voice pitches as the ICs did.

I don't recall the bit at 2:38 ever occurring in that theme and I've heard it quite a number of times before. It's the audience cheer (which sounds pretty low so you might want to put the volume up a bit), not the Yoshi guys singing that song.

If this imply any thing it probably would be that their chant is some where in the games data and it appearing where it did in the video was a glitch.

this could either mean everything or nothing TBH, the chant could simply be left over information from the planning stages of the game or it could imply that Nintendo was thinking ahead and kept the chant in the game data as to mack sure future DLC go's smother.

quite honestly we still don't know, theres still so many things about this game that are just so mysterious...

Nah I think it's the ghost of the Ice Climbers haunting the 3DS version so they came back with a vengeance!

Nah I think it's probably just them cheering for Murabito too. But I would still like to hear his/her cheer though.
