Jesiah talked to Isai then told me.

"Total mastery of the game" sounds about right but the "Mario was the last character he didn't master" does not. I would guess Jesiah thought Isai was implying the latter, when he wasn't.

Yeah I think Jesiah's love for grand narratives may have gotten the best of him there to some small degree. I would imagine that Isai said something along the lines of "I just wanna play the whole game, you know?" and that turned into this thing about not caring about winning and playing mario because he didn't have him mastered and so forth

isai beat kikoushi really solidly with pika/fox, less solidly but still conclusively with kirby
