anyone know who to mess up jiggly's sleep attack?

My friend and i were engaged in an epic battle between fox (me) and jiggly (him), the fight was going ok until he grabbed me and jumped up and performed sleep. Normally i should've been fried and would've had to eat my hat but in a last attempt i manically mashed just about every button on the controller and the weirdest thing happened. The smash sound happened, and the flames were there, i even received the damaged...but i just jumped away as if i wasn't ever hit, i finished with an up smash ^^.

Still we dunno why it happened, so has anyone ever had this happen before, because this could make jiggly and fox fights much more interesting. Anyone know how to do it?

a phantom hit is when you shouldn't have gotten hit but you did. this wasn't it. I think it was some lag that caused a glitch. Iunno though...

Phantom hits with rest are fairly common compared to most moves.

The hit box is very small and round, and phantom hits just require hitboxes to be tangent to another.

I've always wanted to clear this up, phantom hits aren't glitches though, right? i mean they do 1/2 damage from my experience.

Well, it is arguable as to whether or not they're glitches, but considering the hitboxes don't actually hit each other, you're lucky you get any damage =P

I'd say no considering it can happen with basically every move.

i'd find it hard to believe phantom's are glitches.

i mean... how does an oversight in programming result in half damage and no knockback... seems fairly intentional to.

BTW: I think phantom's cool in any situation except for rests, falcon/warlock punches, ganon's uptilt, and bowser's f smash.
