Anyone interested in a Teesside/Middlesbrough Tournament?

Pretty much what's on the tin. A friend and I are wondering how we stack up, the only tournament we attended was some Uni-related one which he aced and I got to the semi finals, but the other players noticed that in my last match I had literally every single KO and subsequently gang banged me in a 4 way.

Anyway if anyone's interested in a 1v1 tourney then by all means reply to this and we'll see what we can do.

Make your way to smash yakuza biweeklies. We actually just finished a tourney last week, shame you didnt find out about it b4 :/ But yeah, if you get to one of our smashfests, you'll find a range of skills to test yourself against. Although if you were doing free for all tournaments, then i expect the standard wasn't particularly high.

Hey man, ignore what aiko just said (sorry man). I live in Sunderland, so you'll know how close Iam. Just to let you know within newcastle/sunderland area there are three of the top 7 UK smash players. GAWes is one of my best mates and lives in newcastle and finished 3rd last UK tournament. Myself and Reacher (peterlee) are mates are we both finish within the top 7 or so of every tournament. Not to be arrogant but i with a few others started the UK competitive scene and any UK player knows who iam ;).

Basically man im at sunderland uni and have my own place. If you and your mates want to come up here anytime and play with the rest of us your more than welcome. Makes more sense than travelling to liverpool and playing people that are poorer (lol aiko your goign to hate that, heard u nearly beat jam =x).

Doesnt matter what standard your at, we'll get some games in and hey if your better than us then awesome. If not then we can help you guys better. To be honest man ive been looking for north east competition outside my mates for 4 years now and its nice to know theres some possible smoggy potential.

get back to me man,

we could get some games in this weekend if you like. at mine or yours.

oh and dont worry bout hosting a tourney or out yet. wait till you guys have played us and got into competitive smash first. if you still want to then we can do it together. ive hosted four previous uk tournaments :)

aye get to ed's he'll show you whats what, like aiko said we host biweeklies down near manchester but travelling that far from the off it diving in at the deep end.

no one ever travels to new guys first so dont expect people to travel to you, its not arrogance or elitism its more of a repect thing, if you want to see how good you are then travel to others fist, even if its just the one time.

Teeside Uni is a University option. So theres a slight chance I could goto this in the future. Depends on which Uni i end up at obviously.
