Anyone else wish to main Kirby again?

How many of you mained him in 64, but lost intrest and never bothered in Melee because of his horrible moves?

Fortunately Melee, and Brawl and plenty more interesting characters than 64 had. Mewtwo, Marth, Pit, Meta Knight, Snake, Sonic, etc. So many characters I plan to main, yet one thing I want most from the currect cast (64 to Melee I mean), is for Kirby to be fixed. I know there's a thread for that, so lets avoid that subject. What I mean is, how many of you miss maining Kirby, but couldn't due to Melee?

I personally love Kirby (mostly because the US commercials since Dreamland 2 I believe treated Kirby like a 'Cute and Adorable Bad *** Mo-Fo', which instantly made me a huge fan of Kirby (though I have been a fan since the original Dreamland on GB, before any other Kirby game came out, just the commercials further intriged my love for the character). Though lately Kirby has been treated as nothing but a cute little kids character, I'll always remember him as the Cute and Adorable Bad *** I've grown to love. As much as I love Meta Knight, there's the whole 'Cute but deadly and dangerous' thing that Kirby has going for him that just makes me love the character more.

I wasn't never afraid of playing as Kirby (even if I were up against fox!!). In fact he was one of my most played character, after Pikachu, of course. Kirby is too cool to be just left behind like that, even if he sucks ___. I really hope they improve him, because I really look forward to play as him in Brawl as a better and stronger Kirby!!

Yes, i used to control that pink ssb superstar and also samus but melee changed that even though it was not cool how much they nerfed him it was at least realistic.

I do! I actually want Kirby (high tier, jking) and Ike (low tier? well we don't know + 2 handers rule!)

He's been my #1 main in N64, Melee and will on Brawl.
Though he was bad in Melee, I kept maining him b/c it was fun and he wasn't too common like Fox, Shiek, Captain Falcon, Samus, Falco and such.

Brawl Kirby shows lots of promise.

I used to main Kirby in SSB 64 and I want to main him in Brawl if he is buffed.
I thought Kirby was the ultimate choice, whoever you were playing against, was going to be ***** by their own powers. (fight fire with fire yah know?).

If Kirby is any better than he was in Melee I will main him again. If he is even worse than Melee, I will main Meta Knight just for the Kirby franchise, and also because he is just that much bad***.


Also hoping that D^3 is going to be unlockable!

I'm going to main Kirby no matter what. He was my main in SSB (Nintendo 64) and in SSBM, and I'll main him again this time!

I mained Kirby in SSB64, and was quite good with him. Even after he got screwed over in SSBM, I adapted and stuck with him anyway as a co-main (I don't play tourney-level). I'm hoping that Brawl will restore some of his former glory. I recently played SSB64 again, and I had forgotten how hard they hit him in melee.

I use a wide variety of characters in Melee, but Kirby's still my main. I used him from the beginning, when I truly didn't know about any tier lists (Final cutter spam FTW).
Happily, he seems buffed in the new Brawl videos. ^^

Kirby was my main man in Super smash bros. Don't even ask about me kirby and a beam sword because those were my favorite words, kirby beam sword. In melee everyone sucked because Melee sucked. SSB WAS BETTER THAN MELEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But kirby is getting back his sweetness in brawl but get it stolen by someone and that someone is METAKNIGHT!!!!!!!!! OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I love kirby and i mained him in 64. in melee, i mained kirby for a while but when I got a little more serious about smash, I picked up other characters and kirby was left as a backup/fun character. In brawl i plan to main meta knight with kirby as a secondary character.

hes always been my main we stuck through it until brawl and ill use him in the next smash anihalation JK and king DeDeDe is in i bet his nuetural specail will be same as kirbies but long range and spit farther and his dash attack (kirby does buning) he'll trip and fall on anyone around him like in the old kirby games i think his up B will be abosrobing air and floating around again like in the old days! and last his spike he'll swing the hammer down like in......THE OLD DAYS and if it makes contact with the floor stars wil come out and hide items, or become an inderect way for kirby to gain DeDeDe hat

Kirby was one of the best and most fun to use characters in Smash 64 (as you all know).
I really wish they would make his faster and give him more power; I dont mind that he flies off the screen so easily but they should make him more controllable. Every time i attempt to use him in Melee i find so many times where he simply doesnt move fast enough. PLEASE buff Kirby!

In SSB Kirby was definitely my best character, he could really kick some (shift) 244. In melee he definitely lost his competitive edge, but gained a wonderful little tactic known as the kirbicide, which makes for a nice (and humiliating) finisher or to turn the tide of a battle. So I kept maining him and got my name (EmoKirby.) As long as he keeps one or both of these styles of play I can't see making anyone else my main (of course Meta and Pit might change my mind [I'm a fan of aerial combat.])

I mained him in ssb64, and mained him for about a year in melee, but I lost intrest in the game but as soon as I discovered the meta-game, I started playing this game again, but this time competetively, but I found charaters I am better with so I stopped playing Kirby. I hope to main him in Brawl because he is my second favorite charater, right behind Meta Knight. Hopefully they will buff Kirby so I can at least have him in my top 5 mains.

Like everyone else, he was my main in 64. I had to use him less in Melee though because of his apparent nerfness. I shared mains with ICs and Kirby. I just have this thing for cute characters. I'm really really hoping they return the cute, lovable and badass puffball to his former glory.

Unlike many of you who have replied, I main Yoshi. Well, and Kirby, but I don't rely on him.

If Kirby in any way resembles his 64 days, I'm down for trying him out first.

As much as it hurts me to say it, I think I may be switching to metaknight in brawl as my main character. My main problem with kirby in melee is that there were no strong attacks, and no attacks that would knock a character any distance. MK seems to have that advantage.

Ive heard that Everyone has been buffed slightly somehow. Maybe if Kirby was in the demo we would know but since they didnt want him in the demo due to his ability to copy moves, we wont know anytime soon. But anyone related to Kirby (METAKNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) will have to do for me....(did i mention METAKNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!!?!)

I have been useing kirby, He sank way to fast in melee. and his Down B was too laggy.

Kirby is the man and in N64, you would never catch me then who else but kirby in the blue costume. I remeber returning home with melee in my hands and popping it in for the first time. I select arcade mode and picked kirby and starteed immediatly. I quickly released that a crime has been done on to this pink puff and he'd been reduced to marshmellow who could barley stay alive. Tryed as I might I could not beat my friends and gave up using him. BRAWL MUST REDEEM THERE CRIME TOWARDS KIRBY! I will main him once again! *end rant* lol I will definatly be maining kirby as long as he is better in anyway then he was in melee.

I have mained Kirby in Melee but in 64 because unfortunately i only rented it and didn't have enough time
to master anyone, but I will master him again! seriously though, I've beaten all my friends all too easily
with Kirby. I wish i could go to a tournament and put my skills to the test but I can't.But back on subject,

Kirby WILL be the coolest character! And he will be my main character.
You will have completely new moves for every character you play against.
Developeing strategys will be complex.

they should really do something with Kirby. Like have him transform into Karate Kirby or something. I dunno :-\... Kirby was so good in SSB, but once I tried him out in Melee, I was deeply sadden and disappointed. He needs something.. like some good combos like Meta-Knight. He's light, some what slow, and have poor moves... he has too many negatives
