Anybody in Galveston play Melee? >_>

I'm not really expecting a response, but seeing as how I'm going to be taking college here in Galveston for the next four years, it would be cool to find someone to play the game with. Because I've never gotten the chance to play Melee, despite being a fan of the game for so long... -.-

I'm trapped on Pelican Island with no car. In other words, I go to Texas A&M @ Galveston. >_> So if you play Melee, are in Galveston, and are willing to drive down here to play with me, that would be fantastic. Tall order, though, I know. @_@

Well, there's a decent Houston scene, but with no car, idk how much practice you'd be able to get because most of them are too lazy to drive anywhere. I wish you luck, though.

Sweet, thanks. I'll be in Houston come summer, at least...and I'll have a car unless my sister REALLY decides to screw me over and not let me use it seeing as how she took the car which should've been mine. And she goes to UT Austin...that one city with the free bus service for students last time I checked. And it's not on an island, which I thought was pretty helpful for getting around.

Still, though, I'll be in Galveston most of the time these next four years, so it would be nice if there were some local Melee players around. @___@

There are a couple Galveston players. Tarzan (aka valgar2900 on the boards) is a solid player there. Not sure about anyone else, but you should ask him and he should know more Galveston people.

If i was in his situation i rather quit smash all together if i was forced to play Brawl with you guys XD. Get an Xbox, and play halo with anyone in the nation at all times. there are over 500,000 people playing that therefore according to xyro's more people better the game theory, its the best game evers. Anyways my gamertag is shineblind =D

Thanks for the offer, Xyro, but I'm good where I am. I attended PJ's Brawl Smashfest during the summer with the intent of becoming a Melee/Brawl player at most, but now that I've gotten a taste of competitive Brawl, I'm pretty sure I know where I stand. Maybe it wasn't as fun as it should've been because I had vertigo on the day of the Smashfest, LOL. But if I wanna play Brawl during the summer, I know who to contact, at least.

Anyways, I'll be sure to contact you...sometime...Tarzan. >____>; I'm in college, which means I'm dutifully neglecting my work. Not sure how this is gonna work out since neither of us have a car, but we'll figure it out as we go along.
