I don't think the problem is that you're using your z-air to a lesser extent. What you should do is learn to read your opponent. I noticed that you would attack when it was not necessary. I'll go with you on that you are getting used to the lag when playing on Wi-Fi. From the looks of it, in the beginning you take control of the stage, but after you are hit consecutively by Mario, you lose it. It's as if your confidence dropped when you went from 1% to 58%. You seem to have shifted from the aggressor to the defensive. Don't get me wrong. It's not bad that you play defensively. However, you can only defend yourself for so long.

There were times when you'd jump from the edge and use your f-air, even when your opponent wasn't close. You could have either returned, jumped and used a Super Missile, or jumped and used a Homing Missile. Try to mix it up every now and then. Usually, your opponent will get hit by the f-air. Oh, and one bit of advice for you. Never use the u-smash unless your opponent is above you, standing on a platform where you can hit your opponent, or if your opponent is tall or heavy. It's an attack that many Samus players seldom use.

If you want to brawl with me, my Friend Code is 2277-7887-4196. My name is "Dryn."

No problem. Sometimes I'll use the d-tilt when I mean to use the d-smash. It's a bad habit of mine. The reason is because my opponent sometimes will be right behind me and then I'm left open.

Good games, too, XxBlazingSpeedxX. You're the first Samus I've ever seen use the d-air to Screw Attack. It's an attack that I like to use as well, but when you first used it against me, I thought to myself, "I thought I was the only one who did this!" :chuckle: I think your Samus is good, and can get better. I like how you used your Homing Missiles, though. That wall of Homing Missiles was daunting for me. I was thinking, "Man, this is blocking my way. I have to figure a way around it." I guess that's how all of Samus' opponents feel. I liked how you used your Screw Attack me twice in a row because I was coming back down. On the third time, I was thinking, "I know what he's going to do" and moved out of the way.

I noticed that when you grabbed me, you didn't tap the A button to get in a few extra hits. You should use that. I first saw Tudor, a great Samus main, if not one of the best, use that in his matches and I picked it up for myself. I told my brother, "I'm going to punish my opponents." I noticed, however, that you were doing some things that I would do. Even though you did use z-air, sometimes you'd stop, and then I'd use it, and you'd use it again. I also noticed that you began to use your z-air against me when I was in the air. That was something I was doing. One of the things I like about ditto matches is that you get to pick up ideas from your opponents (or friends, I should say). It allows you to have more options.

Anyway, see you next mission!

Nah. Hey, you still did great. I went up against a person today who goes here at SWF. His name is Tenki, but when I went to brawl with him this morning, he was under the name "test." I don't know why. Perhaps he was checking to see who I was. He brawled with my brother, Uffe, the other day. He was Sonic and my brother was Ness. They did this to see if Ness is a good match-up against Sonic. Well, today he decided to be Captain Falcon. It was my first time brawling with him, and in our first match I three-stocked him. I survived "the knee."

My brother was amazed. He couldn't believe that I was doing a match where I only used my z-air once. I guess in our match the only reason why I was using Homing and Super Missiles so often was because you also had projectile. I was bombarding Tenki's Falcon with Super Missiles, uncharged Charge Shots and grabs. Since Samus and Falcon don't have any reflective attacks, you're very much safe to use projectiles. The reason why I am bringing this up is because I wanted to show you that if your Samus can get me down to one stock left, you're doing something good. I appreciate that you wanted to brawl with me. It's always an honor to go against another Smasher who mains Samus.

How's a Samus mirror sound? I can't record, but I need an opportunity to see how Samus is progressing as my secondary. Just throw me a reply, I'm free for the weekend ^_^

At lower %'s always follow a Dash attack or a Dair hit with an UB.

Start your Uair's sooner than you're about to hit them, and same with your Fair's. If you then realize you won't hit DI away.

Missle back onto the stage, homing, instead of fairing all the time. Eventually he'll shield your fairs and grab you again, in this case change up your method of returning on the stage.

Know your opponents moves and how long they last so you can shield the proper ammount, and their delay, so you can either respond with a F-smash, D-tilt or an UB in the case of lagless moves.

Predict their rolls, always. If they wanna camp, you camp, make them come to you, make them approach right into your fair.
