Well I main R.O.B. and alternating between the Rob lazer and the gyro helps to make sure you always have a projectle ready, I find that upthrowing them into an up smash attack works nicely.for getting KO's edgegarding with his Fsmash works well if you aim it right. his bair helps his recovery. His dair is easy to meteor smash with and pushes him up alittle so you wont be in much danger of them attacking you after you do it.his forward B reflects projectles but its to slow to really help much. Robs down smash is amazing and his uair is good for juggling, fair is nice for keeping enemys away from you.Jabs work nicely. thats about all the info I could give to help with rob I use him and these work really well.

P.S. Lucas is beast

First off, properly timed short hop nairs are incredibly nasty. Second you really need to get a hold of how he moves with his up-B, how his momentum carries and how to maximize distance. then you can start really incorporating your aerial game. Charge his down b whenever you get a spare moment, and use his neutral b to pick off opponents charging/using projectiles ,as well as enemies rushing you. Meteor smash with his dair whenever the opportunity presents itself (you can even do it when they are hanging on the ledge). those are my general ROB tactics, did i mention short hop nairs?? lol

Basically R.O.B. is one of the more creative characters out there. You can do a lot with him, and you shouldn't stick to the same procedure. Mix things up, do the unexpected. In short: MIIIIIIINNNNNNNDGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! =P

oh yeah and learn how to glide toss/reverse glide toss =P

Always keep your Gyro out, and dont charge it unless your attempting to use it to KO them/get them off the stage.. it's far more useful when you can use it spinning on the ground w/ jab-->knocking intoGyro-->Jag/repeat-->Grab than it is being charged... it also soaks up campers projectiles so [minis Falco] it stops alof of toons in their tracks [mainly Mario, Pikachu, Wolf, ect].

You also need to learn to pivot turn so you can ShortHop backwards Nairs.. it will hit faster, and a forward Nair is only really effective to kill after using your Uairs+UpB to get a gimp in the beginning of a game, or if your opponent enjoys shield grabbing alot... honestly it just keeps toons away if you space it correctly...

Utilizing your Utilts, Uairs, and Fairs is probably the most difficult thing to master outside of HoverCanceling your arials, and and working on your ledge game w/ your Gyros and Lazers..

Also don't be tricked into spamming your lazer.. let that **** charge up so it actually does something and not just annoy them by doing a piddly 5% and bassically just stunning them for a fraction of a second.. ROB is the BEST toon in brawl off the stage [imo even better than MK] so using anything and everything getting your opponent into your domain is always a must.. and as a rule of thumb unless your in the middle of the stage or your opponent is at a low percent [in this case Uthrow so you can Combo w/ Uairs] Fux w/ a throw toward the edge of the stage/off the screen.

Good Day Sirs.

exactly, ROB kind of has a "poker face" in the sense that he is seemingly rigid and neutral looking character. This combined with the quick delivery of some of his moves, makes him a very unpredictable character.

Sir.. many of ROBS moves have quite abit of startup lag >_>

Good Day.

Did someone already mention short-hop nairs? That's the way I go when I'm playing ROB, but I find that it's best to combine his tilts with a Bneutral to keep people on their toes. ROB's interesting and I don't have him mastered yet but he definitely has tons of potential.

yea some of his moves are pretty laggy, but you can learn to compensate for it. Also those weren't the moves i was referring to. His down smash and his Fair are both lightning quick, i dont care what you say.
