I'm going to be teaming with my friend for the first time and would like some advice. Thanks!

How to play pikachu in doubles for dummies

abuse his low% combos at low % when possible its actually worth opting for a 1v1 if you are fighting some chars (go figure falcon is one of those suckers)

Pika can play both agressive or campy. Understand however though he is light and will die insanely fast when getting 2v1ed so pick your battles and dont get ganged up on falcon is better at juggling and maintaining presence pikachu is a great char for controlling neutral in general.

Comboing/juggling is by far this teams strongest point. what this means? get the enemies above you its where they likely DONT want to be falcons up air is insane as is pika and even more then that pikas ability to cover landings is crazy

on the ledge pika should be hunting Let falcon wait unless pika miss reads can falcon can dive in. falcon can spike from on stage with uptilt and pika can easily cover his trash recovery (which also means be ready to save his hide if hes getting edge guarded). also depending on the char falcon can dive in to and just go for the spike.

in terms of stages falcon and pika both abuse platforms to insane degrees so platforms = great. they are both fast so they can abuse lots of space

pika in general has a beyond broken grab game for doubles. upthrow is excellent as a very fast im gonna get attacked by the opponents partner Forward throw is literally the easiest throw in the game to combo out of try messing with the angle and see what you can get ive teamed with palus and Ikes a lot in the past and Ike can fully charge Fsmash out of it and Palu can with up smash both decimating stocks really really early.

in terms of team juggles check if you can bounce foes from each other well (having good synergy helps for this) iE if falcon upairs see if you can extend by trapping the landing or something with a Fsmash or Quick attack and keep the combo going also doing things like Nairing enemies back into falcon for the meat grinder or upairs is also really damn good.

Fair is also stupidly laggy in terms of hitstun meaning it allows falcon to combo off of it (he could proably jump over and Bair/Dair it pretty easily) and learning Knee setups is also fun practice stuff like that (2v1ing a CPU or something)

the main thing about pika in doubles is that he covers a lot of ground he covers a lot of options beats a lot of chars in neutral he just sucks at killing. that said he makes killing for your teammate really easy depending on the teammate so focus on damage or sneaking in kills when you get the chance otherwise setting up and having people die 40% earlier is really really good.
