Finish F-Zero GX on very hard then get back to me.

GRID is a good game to play online, it's the only good PC racer I can think of now.

Trackmania is there aswell, but it's not really a TRUE racer.

GRID is better but people on it are no good, but yeah as Syke's post suggests that is about it in terms of good online racing games, unless you want super hardcore simulators for the FIA GT Series or V8 Supercars >=D

GTR 1/2 which can be bought legally at any participating retailer (seeing as there are none you can obtain by "other means" =P)

rFactor is an online race simulator that can be modded for V8 Supercars, Formula 1 or almost any other official race series (It can be purchased online or obtained by "other means" as well)
