Any Advice?

Hey Guys! I'm a generally new Ice Climbers player looking to dive deep to get better at these characters, as they are just too much fun. But, what I'm here for is I'd like some advice on Popo downthrow into a nana regrab? I seem to messup the timing and throw it all away.. Any Tips / Advice? All is appreciated. Also, is there a way to tell which way nana will throw after regrabbed just for followups? Thanks!
