Ok i am opening this because i see ridiculous request for Pokemon to be in brawl. Now i don't know if i am the only one with this opinion but pikachu was great, so was jiggley puff and mewtwo but now we got the Pokemon trainer and no clue whether jiggley puff and mewtwo will be put in. Now people want a lot more pokemon in and i think its nuts. I think anymore pokemon would destroy the game. WE don't need more pokemon what we need is announcements like Sonic and Megaman or even Ridley true fighters that haven't already been overused.

Yeah, this is where you lost me. How the hells does that work? We had four Pokèmon in Melee, and that was no problem (save Pichu, who was a problem due to his redundancy, but thats a different story). I rarely see anyone advocating more than five total in Brawl - Pikachu, Trainer, Mewtwo, Jigglypuff, and one more (Lucario, Gardevoir, or whoever their personal favorite is, sometimes with Jigglypuff or Mewtwo being dropped for another newcomer); which is entirely reasonable considering its one of Nintendo's biggest and most popular series.
Wheres the problem with that? Unless you were under the misconception that some wanted all those various suggested Pokèmon in, I can't see what would draw such a nonsensical statement out of you as that quote.

Yay another whining thread that serves no purpose. Wait untill the game is out; if another pokemon is included(playable)and so called ruins the game, I guess you won't be playing it. Oh well more Brawl for me.

Nobody is actually wanting a ton of pokemon. Rather, people just have preferences for the pokemon reps. So your argument holds just as much water as me saying "Why does everybody want a ton of fire emblem characters? We have Ike, and everybody wants Marth, and Roy, and Black Night and Hector, etc etc"
I only see two realistic new pokemon reps. Or rather, two realistic reps by what we can glean, as Sakurai could always just throw in beedrill for no reason if he wanted. Anyway, all you pretty much get to choose from at this point is Gardevoir or Lucario as new reps. Interestingly enough, these two reps don't have to conflict with each other, and don't have to be an either/or.

I made this forum to see what others think and im glade to see ive got some support, im not whining im just generally saying with all these **** pokemon im not sure what to think i mean, alot of people want more of them when those spots could be filled with much better fighters, the pokemon should stay to pokemon stadium and let the really nintendo characters come out and fight here. I loved pikachu, mewtwo and jiggley puff all of them were unique but with the new ideas its just gonna be a big dissapointment to see that on my character roster.

Three max? Thats quite extreme. Melee even had four, and Brawl is expected to be at least 50% larger than it. Pokèmon is one of Nintendo's top 3 franchises world-wide, right alongside Mario and Zelda. Lesser franchises like Star Fox or franchises whose popularity is only that high in one area like Fire Emblem can expect a three character max. Mario, Zelda, and Pokèmon though are entirely deserving of more and can expect up to five realistically (perhaps six for Mario).

And Meowth. Meowth was supposed to be in Melee but was replaced by a useless yellow Pokémon named crapba- err... I mean Pichu due to time restraints. Ever wonder why all the other Pokémon trophies were in order and Meowth was seperate from them. Yeah.

LOL, I watched that episode on You-tube. It's a shame it gave thousands of Japanese kids seizures, it was a pretty decent episode. It really is a shame it never made it to America though.

I forget where exactly I got Meowth, but Balloon Fighter was on the Japanese website.
I can't see Jigglypuff and Mewtwo getting back in. Why? Because we already have four 1st gen representatives. The others I think will be from third and fourth gen, since none of them had any chance of being in Melee.
That would leave us with, what, four slots, maximum? That's not very overkill if you ask me.

Everyone who thinks that the Pokémon Trainer is three reps is a noob. THE POKéMON TRAINER IS ONLY ONE REP.
People put waaaay too much significance in "representation" of the different Pokemon generations. Sakurai will add anyone he feels most appropriately represents the franchise and if the majority of those characters happen to be from the first generation, then so be it. Jigglypuff and Mewtwo shouldn't be excluded just because people think it's "unfair" for other generations not to receive any representation.

Pokémon is the second most popular franchise in the world, right behind Mario. And you say it only deserves 4 reps?! Mario should have 6 reps and Pokémon 5 reps. I say Pokémon Trainer, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Jigglypuff, and Meowth.
