Another Medical Question......

Alright so I got hurt from playin basketball again. But this is like 100 more times serious than my any other injury. Im on crutches for 3-6 weeks cuz I have a severe high ankle sprain. I was taking a lay up and I landed on a guys foot and rolled my ankle.

My question:

Ive been talking with my friends about and 2 of them have suggested soaking my ankle in apple cider vinnegar. No joke. Apparently one kid tried it and he was good to go in one week. After hearing them im definaely gonna try it, but im just curious....Does anyone here have any explanation why apple cider vinnegar is so good for bringing down swelling?

Why don't you go see a doctor? That seems like the prime example of medical advice, in my humble opinion. Seriously, if you're in a lot of pain, you should probably get it checked out.

Yeah, you probably won't find anybody who can help you here. See a doctor or professional.

If the pain started after basketball practice, you may just need to rest and go easy for a few a days.

Permanent way to get rid of shin splints is simple, wear tight shoes if you are running. Actually just tighten up your shoes, but especially when you are running. This happened to me in track, it'll go away fast.

i have friends in track, them might know how to get rid of shin splints. how old are you? if your experiencing back pain, that is one cause you did something really stupid and got yourself hurt, or your just sore. i bet its the second.

best way is ice it every night dont do any work on it for about a week maybe more dependin on how bad it is. dont stretch ur leg muscles for two or three days just ice and drink milk and bananas unless u have supplements then after third day slowly start stretchin easy ones first. u shud be golden! ;-)

Man Ive wrecked my right ankle 5 times in recent years.3 ligament/tendon tears,1 break and 1 really bad sprain.

I suggest not using it for at least 6 weeks.It may feel fine after like 2-3 but if you do exercise on it you'll only do more damage in the long run.

After the last ligament I tore my ankle has never been the same because I messed around on it before it was healed fully.

this thread is ******** no apple cider makes no dif wat was prob good for it wud be him soakin it and takin time to soak and so rest it and keep the weight of it

lol if you played basketball all year round you would know that landing on somebody's foot is the most common way of hurting yourself. Ive done this 100 times just not as bad.
