Anime Expo Smash Tournament (Updated for '07)

If you wanna own some scrubs and happen to be going to Anime Expo...

When?:

July 2nd (last day of the convention)
Monday, 11am - 4pm

Where?:

Long Beach Convention Center.
Console Gaming room location is unknown at the moment. But it is at the console gaming room.

Rules?:

"4 way Melee, no items until the semi-finals , Stages to be chosen by staff, 4 Stock (best 2 out of 3 during semifinals and finals)" - according to one of the staffers.

I'm sure you can talk the staff into not playing banned stages (Hyrule anyone?). And yea, It's FFA like last year. No time limit? Stall all you want? lawl jk.


I suggest you BYOC obviously. The controllers they supplied last year sucked.

u dont bring ur own controller now calm down -_-. as said by whoever this compyfranko feller is "Oh, and one more thing. Some people felt that the controllers provided at the tournament weren't adequate, so they brought their own. If you only feel comfortable playing with your controller, you may want to bring it." itd be fun if it turns out we use hyrule temple in the tournament, im so going fox if that happens.

Not everything that guy mentions in the post is true. In FFAs, only the guy in first advances. Also, the judges were ***holes last year about controllers, and I had to explain why I wanted to use my own.

You dont have to be scheduled. According to the schedule on the site, the game room is on the 4th floor of the Hilton.

But you want to get there EARLY. Last year, there was 100+ people (including me) on the waiting list, and I came on time.

When I go to the Mario Kart tourney tommorow, I'm going to see if I can sign up for smash. If anyone else is going, tell me and I'll try to sign you up.
