What is Anime Ex.po?
Located in Los Angeles, California – Anime Expo®, the nation’s largest anime and manga convention, serves to foster trade, commerce and the interests of the general public and animation industry. This event serves as a key meeting place for the general public to express their interest and explore various aspects of both anime and manga, as well as for members of the industry to conduct business. AX 2010 will be held July 1 – July 4, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Southern California. More information can be found at its website (www.anime-expo.org).
Why go?
If the paragraph above doesn't make you excited, realize this. Anime Expo is the biggest animecon, and for some of you, its in your backyard. Even if you aren't that interested in anime or manga, it is a once in a lifetime style experience. There is a console gaming room where you can play games as well as tons to do, such as concerts, panels, autograph sessions, and screenings of anime.
Its a party. And its a fun one. I recommend that anyone who can, come for at least one day.

To compete you will need an Anime Expo badge of admission
You can sign up for any tournament starting on Thursday at 10 AM when the game room opens. The entry fee for each tournament will be $5 (cash only)
Notes:
Please come. While the tournament may not be melee, or exactly the way you want it to be run, its a good chance for those who like anime to get out and enjoy their interest with other people. The tournaments are more of a bonus on top of coming out for the con.
