edit: I don't have mariachi until march, so im free february. brawl doesn't come out till march, so i guess ima keep going to tournys. but im not gonna go out of my way for them, and im basically writting this so people dont give me **** if i decide to compete at ucla V 
I'm not thomasexy so im not gonna make another thread about returning/quitting/condeming jtb to hell/spitting fake game at import car chicks so if you care, read it but this is just to clear my name
Ive been attending tournaments for roughly 2 years, being more active in my 2nd year and truely active about 2 months now (meaning being able to compete in singles). I saw myself improving and hoped, with the brawl delays, that i would be able to build upon this momentum and eventually become ranked in socal (i mean after playing so long its kinda sad). Well tonight my dream has finally come to a close, as oscar "pbody" nunez just provided to me proof of the release of brawl. Although this is an imported version, it clearly marks the completion of the game and it will soon arrive to America, thus most likely ending competitive melee. Nomatter how many tournaments there are in socal until the release of brawl, i will only be attending the devry one this saturday and then hanging my controller up. There is one more update to be made for the rankings and i am not a clear candidate, being outshined by many much more deserving such as st patrick and kira.
I don't mean to sound emo and say im leaving smash, cuz in reality we're all leaving smash soon enough. Im just being realistic and hanging up my controller, and put this silly ambition of mine to an end.
it's been fun, and it'll be a shame not to see mango and hugo but to the rest of you, see you saturday
