Ok I used the search function and found nothing.
This isn't groundbreaking or anything. It's just something I realized when I was fooling around in practice mode.
I copied snake's grenade ability and used what's known as grenade cooking by using shield or grab after pulling one out to drop the grenade and pick it back up(this way it functions as a throw-able item rather than something you can only throw using the neutral B's weak throw.
So anyways, pulled out a grenade, shielded to drop it, picked it back up, and then (snake was in the air), I bair'd him off the edge and saw a great opportunity for a rock kirby(down b) over the edge so I did it.
While I was falling I noticed something interesting, the grenade exploded while I was falling, and even though it didn't hit snake, it made me sort of wonder about the application of this.
In otherwords, the tl;dr version:
Kirby can act as a suicide bomber by holding a grenade and down+b'ing. It's safer(not safe by safer), since if snake tries to approach during the lag for a grab, he'll be caught in the grenade's explotion(that kirby is immune to since he's in rock form. If snake doesn't approach, kirby has enough time after the explotion to come out and DI away from snake(or a projectile snake fired).
Anyways, like I said, nothing amazing. But it's another trick in the bag, right?
