An Easy Way they Could Have Added Two Pikmin Reps

Olimar's Pikmin: Red, Yellow, Blue

Louie's Pikmin: Purple, White, Bulbmin

A moves: The Same.

Final Smash: Same but with Space Rabbits.

Well it's too late now, and quite frankly, I think this would have been a bad plan. It's already enough to say Louie could be a clone of Olimar, all the same moves just with different properties, but in your suggestion you stated that you'd want to gimp Olimar in the process. Giving Olimar access to only three of his Pikmin would severely limit him, and I really wouldn't want to see that happen.

Just because Sakurai brought back cloned movesets, that doesn’t mean it was a good idea to begin with.

But... I greatly dislike Louie. I only used him in Pikmin 2 when necessary, Olimar was the character that made the game awesome (Well, him, the Pikmin and the gameplay)

I would hate Olimar only having 3 types, because it would hnder his gameplay, the three arent different enough. He needs super strong and super-light/poisonous as well, to make him balanced.

Plus, Olimar is awesome enough to rep Pikmin alone. Just like Captain Falcon as he reps F-Zero.

I never really liked Louie and I'm glad just have Olimar in. Plus Louie would take away the originality of Olimar.

Pikmin is just one of those series that does not need two reps. Don't get me wrong, Pikmin and Pikmin 2 were two of my favorite GCN titles, but the characters just aren't memorable enough and they don't stand out enough to make both worthwhile.

Don't think I actually liked Louie! I like the (Pikmin 2 minor spoilers) President's Honking better. But, it was just a thought. I'm happy the way it turned out either way. All we need to find out now are the Pikmin ATs!

This is one of the worst ideas I've seen on Smashboards, and that is saying a lot. Just because the Pikmin has other characters doesn't mean they should be playable in Smash. There seem to be notability requirements for getting in Smash, afterall, and if a character is in one game, not the main character, and isn't even playable the entire game, well, they probably don't deserve to be included.

I shouldn't even mention the horrible divison of abilities. They shouldn't nerf one character just so they can divvy the abilities onto another.

However, I do like the idea of including Bulbmin. Wonder if there is a trophy for them...
