Smash 3DS Amiibos confirmed to work with Smash Bros 3DS

Don't have the official statement/video because I don't have an upload of that recent Direct yet, but yeah, along with showing how the new 3DS models will have built-in NFC, they showed off how Smash Bros 3DS will be the first 3DS game to use it, much like Smash Wii U is doing for the Wii U. You won't need the new 3DS models either, since they are releasing that peripheral.

So this adds even more value to the 3DS version, but makes one less exclusive feature for the Wii U.

This has actually been known since E3, but they just told us a portal was in the works. Which is probably still true for people who do not wish to upgrade.

IIRC they never specifically mentioned Smash 3DS would be a compatible game at E3, nor mentioned any compatible games for it. I assumed it was inevitable though. Either way, I'm happy to see it in a more concrete format.

Yeah, I think Smash Bros. 3DS has amiibo compability, according to the Direct, so you're right @ ChikoLad .
