So I have an Mario amiibo at level 50. I've only had him for a couple hours to train him to level 50 and what I noticed from him is that he doesn't taunt anymore. I taught him to taunt and I still do taunts after every kill but it seems that it stopped doing that at some time around the 40's. Now, I don't know if it does this on purpose so that it can take up something else to read my skills or it can be punishable (especially Mario's up taunt since it takes long enough for you to respawn and get a good hit in) so I want to hear your thoughts and also see if other amiibo owners has the same issue.

i always taunted my amiibos whenever i could, and they did it too when they were in their lvl 20s or so. now that they're at level 50, they don't taunt at all. you're definitely not the only one.

Mine stopped doing that too. I think once they've learned a lot of things they have to take out certain other things to make room, and taunting must be low priority.

Mine stopped taunting around then. I think they consider it a wasted action and then don't bother with it since it's inefficient. However, my Captain Falcon still requests moves be shown after he gets off a Falcon Punch or Knee kill, which is fine.

There should be an option or something.

It sounds as though the Amiibos have grown quite nicely. They have become productive and respectful smashers. This is a great example of a child not adhering to a parent's disgusting habits.

It's just the CPU's AI. People have been hypothesizing about how Amiibo AI really works, and it's considered right now that a level 50 Amiibo is just using a lvl 9 CPU's AI. Level 9s don't really ever taunt, so that would explain why the level 50 Amiibo stops taunting. It's also starting to show that you can't actually teach your Amiibo strategies. People are thinking they just use attacks more/less often depending on the attack's hit percentage.

I'm pretty sure you're right about this. For some reason the whole community has gotten the idea that smash bros is using a very advanced AI learning system for amiibos. Although nobody ever claimed that. I have barely noticed any difference in a "properly" trained amiibo vs one I just had in 8p smashes. The strategies they can pick up from players are few, if any.

I started with a new amiibo. This time Luigi. From what I can see is that he can still taunt even at level 50. It's just not when he gets a kill, instead when an opponent is not far away from the stage. Nothing bad, at least he does it where he isn't vulnerable. Not only that but Lugy actually does some combos I taught him like down grab + down B for example. I'm very happy with this amiibo. I don't think I can teach my other 5 amiibos to taunt or even combo the way I wanted to (mostly because I don't play as the characters of the amiibos except for Mario).
