Amherst Massachusetts Tourney??

Hello there~

My boyfriend and I were thinking of holding a Brawl tournament and/or smashfest with results in the huge basement of our house, but before we made an official tournament listing post I decided it would be best to get a rough tally of how many people might show up.

Date: November 22nd (The saturday before Thanksgiving week)

Location: Amherst Massachusetts

Type of Tourney: Singles, Doubles (standard rules...) and friendlies of course

Entry Fee: Still undecided, but probably $5 for singles/doubles

Food/Drinks: I'm thinkin' free foods.

Prize Money: We are fine with taking a vote if it should be winner take all, or divided between 1st 2nd and 3rd place.

Everthing here is essentially changeable. I just want to see how many people would be interested! Comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Are you sure about the date? A lot of people (many thousands between UMass, Amherst, etc) would leave college for thanksgiving break around then. You wouldn't want them all to be away on vacation, if you wanted as many people as possible to come! I'd probably recommend a different date...

Like the weekend before? That is why I am posting this so much ahead of time...
I want to see what people think of the date/location.

I would be fine moving the date if many people say they couldn't go. I just need some type of general agreement.
