I know, I know, I'm off my rocker. How the hell can anyone say that the 3DS version has better graphics. Smash Wii U is in HD! HD! Beautiful, glorious HD!

Yes, the Wii U does have beautiful HD graphics, but to me at least, Smash 3D has a more unique visual style. I personally like unique graphics over realistic graphics. So therefore, I like the 3DS visuals over the Wii U visuals.

What do you think?

Not me. I'm usually not one to prefer pretty graphics (heck, I still adore good ol' spritework and sometimes would have preferred them over 3D), but I certainly prefer the Wii U's graphics.

Now if you'd ask this with SSB 3DS and Brawl, then I'd say 3DS, because the Brawl ones look so washed out. (Still good, but could've been better.)

I personally think you are crazy.

It's not even the character models that have impressed me with the WiiU; it's the stage backgrounds. And then I'm reminded that I'm only looking at pictures. The game is going to look stunning in real time.

The 3DS version will look nice, however.

I prefer both versions. The Wii U version has amazing graphics and detail, while the 3DS version is similar to Brawl in its detailed art style. I think that it all depends on how the game looks and plays when it's released.

I love how Nintendo keeps surprising us by push the limits of the 3DS even further. I like the 3DS version a bit more because I'm not used to handheld consoles having kick-@$$ graphical detail. It just seems much more impressive when compared to the Wii U version. Both of them look beautiful, though.

I do really like both, but I have to agree that I like the 3DS graphics better. The characters and colors have a really unique sort of comic book style which I really like. They are kind of grainy but not in a bad way, and like Uprising it looks like it's going to be really beautiful for a handheld game.

The Wii U definitely has better stages though (at least so far). The only released 3DS stages that seem visually impressive are Reset Bomb Forest and Rainbow Road, the rest are all really blah. Hopefully Mother and Metroid and Pokemon will give the 3DS some cooler stages, those games have a lot of interesting places that could be used for stages

The graphics for the Wii U version aren't really realistic. Both versions essentially have the same cartoony art style with different contrast, saturation, and lighting, which is the only difference based on the pictures, really.

Both look great, but I prefer the graphics for the Wii U version. It's more pleasing to look at, and I'm not a fan of high saturated colours.

Speaking of graphics, I wonder how effectively the 3d will be used in the handheld version.
Let's keep it real here. Nobody's gonna play it in 3D for more than half an hour or on cutscenes if they find some way to put them in again.

Eh, I like both but WiiU is obviously more beautiful, specially when it's not a realistic art style (which I pretty much dislike to see in any game) but the 3DS looks great.
So for me it goes:
WiiU > 3DS > Brawl

I think the 3DS bold outlining really makes it so that the depth of the game is phenomenal. I do agree that the 3DS graphics seem better than he WiiU's graphics when comparing their hardware.

Kinda, I do enjoy the 3DS graphics. There are some characters that IMO look better on the Wii U (Donkey Kong is a good example).

Can't say I like them over Wii U but they're not bad at all. It helps that they post what looks like straight screenshots instead of grainy jpg like you'd get if you added a screenshot via miiverse. For some reason all 3DS games look better with just a little 3D to me so there's also that.

Im loving them, the combination of the art style vivid colors, and the graphics of the 3DS version makes it look better than Brawl. Brawl now looks rather dull comparing to the 3DS version.

I wouldn't call the Wii U version "realistic", just smoother and more polished. I prefer the Wii U's graphics, but I can see the appeal people have with the 3DS art style.

I definitely feel the Wii U's graphics look a ton better than the 3DS' graphics. But at the same time, I think the 3DS style is really cute. I think I'd probably have to wait for the release to say which I prefer, really.

I prefer Wii U's graphics by a long shot, but the 3DS version is pretty cute. The black outline makes everything flashy and I like how all the character models look a little bit like sprites.

I like both versions' graphics, but when the 3DS version comes out, I know I'm going to love the 3D effects a lot more than the Wii U's graphics.

Can't wait to see Rainbow Road in 3D!

Unique... yeah, that is one way to phrase it. I prefer the graphics on the Wii U.
