So the other day my friend lent me Transformers since it's been out since forever and I haven't seen it. So I pop it in my home theater system with a 32" SDTV [teehee] and proceed to watch the movie. I noticed that the screen looked kind of grainy and low res. When the Transformer logo came up it showed up as 'nsformer'. It was a bootleg :urg:

I honestly tried really hard to follow and enjoy the story and the action but the overall quality just made it really hard to watch. I mean, I had some problems with the movie itself like the shaky camera during action scenes that just made the action impossible to follow when combined with ugly redesign of the Transformers but I'm sure I wouldn't mind those if I could see more than half the screen.

So this leads me to ask, am I the only one that can't enjoy these bootlegs?

Unless I'm extremely desperate, I never watch bootleg movies. Especially since the movie is out on DVD, and he could just as easily download the DVD rip. ;)

The same guy lent me a bootleg of Ironman [I don't know how he gets these] and even though I *really* wanted to watch it before then I just couldn't enjoy it. I can tolerate DVD rips since the biggest problem I've ever gotten with one is certain menus [usually just trailers or commentaries] not opening but at least they support 5.1 and subtitles more often than not.

I agree too. All boot;eg movies I've seen are crappy and I can't even watch more than 5 minutes of it.

I saw Transformers for free and wanted a refund, so you didn't miss much.

Sadly, we can't have topics talking about Bootlegged stuff. :(
