My reason? Because if Pokemon Trainer is like the people who play Pokemon, he would have soft-reseted over and over until his Pokemon were female, so that later he can mass reproduce them. Where do you think they go after they die? Pokemon Trainer doesn't even call them back.

If this is FR/LG he wouldn't, he would just use Ditto for breeding. Therefore, the pokemon would all probably be male.

If he was like me, I would like my pokemon to be female, I don't want to be surrounded by males all the time.
