I'd say that is plenty.

Sorry the Pokemon Trainer is 1 character. so that's only 3 pokemon characters total. Don't even bring up the whole "omg pokemon cannot have more reps" than Mario because counting in the total Mario characters with those that originated from them that's a total of 7(More like 6 because Dr. Mario isn't returning most likely).

Charizard, Ivysaur, and Squirtle are all pokemon who are playable. So yes they count towards the "too many playable pokemon" count.

And Aimpom is definitely low on the list of pokemon they would add.

I still have hope for aipom to be in Brawl just because of the popularity of the Anime.

I don't support aipom but I'd like to see him get into brawl before lucario
