Aipom for Brawl

As my username implies, I'm an Aipom fan. Due to his popularity increase, since in the anime Ash caught him, I think he might replace Pichu for the second generation representative. What do you think?

Pokemon Trainer from Gold and Silver should represent second generation no one else. Pichu wasn't there for representation ether way. And by popularity Lucario or Meowth have a better shot and even that its not a guarantee as we have seen with deoxys.

It's as simple as that. When we figure out brawl has over 100 freakin playable characters than we can consider Aipom.

I personally wanted one or two from every generation. Pikachu, Meowth, Aipom, Deoxys, Lucario, and even Wobbuffet. Pokemon Trainer messed everything up.

Meh, personally I dislike Aipom.(He's evolution just creeps me out). I doubt that his popularity grew enough to warrant him a spot as a playable character.

I can only see him as a Pokeball pokemon.

He has been popular for a few years courtesy of the anime. He is the second pokemon of Ashs' to follow him around without staying in a pokeball.

Not a bad idea in my opinion , I'd rather see him than Pichu anyday. He may have okay chances
considering Ash caught one in the show , and I'll put a moveset just for fun:

size : 3/5 - about the same size as Mario
speed : 4/5
weight : 3/5
jump : 4/5 - he can jump 3 times in a row

B-Focus Punch- the hand on his tail glows blue and he does a 360 degree turn hitting anyone around him.


<-> B- Double team - he holds his hands out and makes two copies of himself on both sides that injure
and Aipom Appears where the far right or left aipom was depending on the
direction you're facing


up B - Fling - He jumps up with the fist on his tail pointed diagonally upward


down B - Swift - He does a 360 degree turn and is surrounded by yellow stars


Final Smash - Return - Hearts pop up on different areas of the stage and the lower your percentage the
bigger and more powerful the hearts are.

Well your doubts are unfounded because there are only 2 PC Reps (Counting "Transformations" as 1 Rep)


Why would there be less reps than the last game?

But no PC Aipom

I mean 64 have porygon, Melee had 2....Brawl should have Z! (Upgraded from stage obsticle to pokeball...then next step up would be PC though!)

You think he deserves a spot? Please don't compare Aipom to Mr. Game & Watch because it's almost no contest. Mr. Game & Watch in his time period was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more popular than Aipom is right now. It wasn't a gamble by putting G&W into SSBM; more like a tribute of respect to the history of the character and his games.

Mr. Game & Watch has earned his right to be in Brawl

Pichu was basicly a pichu clone/filler character not that popular.

I once made a pretty awesome (as far as I'm concerned) moveset for Aipom. However, I don't believe he has any chance of making it in, as PT really serves to represent the Pokemon Franchise as far as it needs to, assuming the others minus Pichu return. Lucario is a much better contender to take what I believe is probably the last Brawl spot for a Pokemon.

CHarizard, Ivysaur and Squirtle are basically "Transformation" characters and therefore, still only count as 1 rep...under Pokemon Trainer...
