I just want to know of you guys' thought of the how the AI would operate in Brawl, and if you think in Adventure Mode that Intense will be intense?

Hopefully they will upgrade the AI to play smart and harder.

pikapower? could it be? if not I would love an AI DOWNGRADE the reason being that a lvl 8 ALWAYS DEFLECTS ANYTHING SHOT OR THROWN. well almost always, but thats waay more than a human can deliver

Hiding in that one place you cant see.
Its not that hard to actually shield things shot or thrown at you. Just do lots of items matches with items that you throw or shoot. I did them for awhile and now I can dominate items.
As to the main question, I would like to see an upgrade like a few numbers higher than 9, just to make the game last longer and more enjoyable fighting Computers.

a larger diversity between 1-4 would be nice, it would allow for 9 to be pumped up

Seriously, 1-4 are almost identical AI wise, you barely notice a different until level 5.

I say just increase the number of levels for the computers

Level 1-9 return while 10-?? add more difficulty.

Though programming the AI to be insane is pretty challenging.

QFT, particularly if they avoid the "unbelievably stupid but technically perfect" problem that makes fighting SSBM comps trivially easy, but not much like fighting humans.

Well, you know what I mean by technically perfect. They powershield WAY too often, although they also never tech and do not (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) L-cancel.

In short, they should make them more like humans, but I recognize that it's a bit challenging to do so.

I would just like them to be more human-like. They power shield insanely well, even if your right in front of their face. And also, ever tried playing a lvl9 luigi? That moron never does up B to recover -.-

There ok but take away the suicidal attacks by comp. They will often jump off the map with their attacks and kill themselves.

Also Kirby's AI needs a major overhaul. Most of them were great except Kirby. Kirby's AI was very weak and did not use half his moves.

Yeah the level 9 Ai in Melee is better than a human player in some ways, and worse in others. Mostly with the perfect blocking that it can do and perfectly grabbing you if you try to rush at them sometimes. I hope the Ai still does this in Brawl, while being smarter and unpredictable.

I could easily beat 3 lvl 8 cpus and so could my friends 12 year old sister.

Trust me, a good human player will offer you infinatly more difficulty thanauto power shielding.

You're right.

In fact what they need to do is make the AI more humanlike, and less "automatic response". It is darn too easy to tell you're fighting a machine, and you can get around its automatic reactions. It has to be more unpredictable and clever, although i admit that it's a very hard thing to program.

Don't even need more A.I. to get an unbeatable challenge. 3 level 9's on hard, well, you're lucky to maintain yourself even in the Temple. Just take a speedster, Fox, a powerful guy, Ganondorf, and another computer that knows how to fight, maybe Donkey Kong, and let the beat down begin.

Now I'm not saying it's impossible; I *have* won against a team of 3 computers vs. myself, but it's a gamble.
