Aesthetics in 3.0

I would like to see Ganon get more unieqe and less "clone like", I think just by adding darkness or lightning affect to all his moves possibly around his limbs (think Warlock Punch/ Wizards Foot) will make him just feel more unieqe without changing his moveset. But I would like a brand new animation for his f-smash. If PMBR decide to finally scrap his useless Warlock Punch and replace it with something else, I would like to see Warlock Punch's animation replace his current f-smash animation. It's only a tiny increase in range but mainly it's unieqe to him and make him even less like C. Falcon.

Unless they changed it in 2.6b, which I never got around to downloading, Ike says it every. God. Damn. Time he charges his f-smash for more than a few fractions of a second.

Haha actually, yes, they changed it in 2.6b to only happen when you taunt during it.

There was a thread in the old forums about Pit's voice, where someone made a soundpack to replace Pit's Brawl voice with his Kid Icarus: Uprising voice. Unfortunately as far as I remember it required a hacked Wii which was something I didn't have. I would love to have that or a similar soundpack in Project M. There are some sounds in there that are practically BEGGING to be used in the game as alternate sounds.

That someone was me and with the advent of the RSBE code,it no longer requires a modded Wii for Riivolution. If you've a 2.6 gct with the code in, you'll need no additional mods, just the .sawnd the download provides. In the case of 3.0, you won't need any .gct edits and can just plop it on your sd card so I recommend waiting for that before installing it.

I agree with this, also I think it'd be nice if falcon received his forward smash from smash 64 with that shotgun sound effect lol

why the hell wouldn't u download 2.6b?

I had just got my menu, textures, music, sfx, stages, etc the way I wanted and I didn't feel like redoing it all. Based on people's feedback there weren't thaat many changes that really mattered in the slightest so I just ignored it.

...but you can append folders to replace only new files you're adding/dragging over. Windows does this by default and OSX you just have to hold option while dragging?

still dude, its annoying and usually the only time i ever open PM up on the computer is bc i have a new costume or song from brawlvault

when you put in the game and start playing you get reaaaaaal lazy

I love this idea and I support it, but I don't think it is going to happen. I personally preferred the animation of the vbrawl's up smash on ganon, but they changed it back to clonish, despite the differences. Granted, I'm happy they keep the sparta kick, I love going "THIS IS SPARTA!" if I kill someone with it. Anyways, I think they are trying to make ganon feel a bit more melee like while keeping a few of the better elements from brawl.

Yes. Too many people want things from Melee in PM...

as I am typing this I also realize the hypocrisy of me saying this and also wanting Marth to have melee-esque slashie sfx
but remember, I said similar to Melee, not Melee itself.

Well, there's wanting those SFX because Melee and wanting them because they sound a hell out of a lot better than the prissy and light sounds Marth uses in Brawl.

Thanks, and i totally know what you mean. Who knows what PMBR plan for Ganon? But I do hope they add those extra effects.

Also like l3thargy said i would totally support bringing back C. Falcon's 64 f-smash its bad ass.
If PMBR really plan to stop making things "Melee because Melee" we should be seeing allot of cool changes with old veterans.

Awesome. :) I did like how Brawl did diversify the clones a bit. I mean I prefer some of falco's moves (appearance wise) in brawl, like his fsmash and fair, and B down; however, I don't main Falco, so my opinion should be disregarded. I completely understand and support why they changed Falco back.

I'm still for ganon getting his ball of light attack. XD

Most of those would mess with the hitboxes and feel different.
1. Shine will stay as it is currently I'm fairly certain
2. Fair (I hate how it looks in Brawl): It could possibly be changed to Brawl Fair although there would be no indicators for when the hitboxes will come out (Brawl Nair might be better).
3. F-Smash is a possibility but just doesn't feel as powerful (of course the PMBR could change that).

Most people are just nitpicky on how it fits into the character, the traits for it, and how it feels.

Brawl F-Smash could work if tweaked for more range, and Brawl Nair could be retooled as a new Forward-air.

Neither change would drastically affect the metagame; so I'd say it's a pretty fair suggestion.

It looks better, I'm surprised they didn't make the pictures half as small...or what i was really hoping for...remove the pictures entirely. Why is it so hard for everyone to tell what player they are? red stock icons, red shield, first player, ect.

That was designed and implemented by myself actually. Hamyojo manages the thread for me so I can do other things. In hindsight, maybe that was a bad idea. We're still bro's Hamy
I see. You have your hands in a lot of good things, huh? I'm actually not sure which of the two designs I like better at this point...

I personally love the second one (i use it) the images look so slick, compared to simple squares, but the new PM design is much much better than the old one

god i hated the old design, its like screaming in your ear "HEY, GUESS WHAT? THATS RIGHT YOUR USING MOTHER****ING MARIO, AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE ENTIRE BOTTOM SCREEN"

i mean, you should know who your playing as (at least i hope so)
