Is it better to do a late nair on shield to be able keep them in stun long enough to shine? I also hear its what you're meant to do with dair.

Late aerials are used when you want to shine right afterwards. Nair is great for pressure but I believe people recommend dair because it shield pokes more. I am not great at doing pressure but when I am at least attempting it, I like to switch up which aerials I use. Early aerials can be used for when you believe that your opponent is going to try to escape (such as aerial OOS, or a roll)

I like late nair especially because the time in between the move coming out and l-canceling is much shorter and closer to the time period of aerials that don't hit on shield. Making shield pressure easier.

Yup late aerials+shine are safer on shield.

Remember you can also follow this shine with a jump-cancelled grab or a retreating aerial if we're talking about safe options.
